No matter if you have registered for the main UUA General Assembly or not, DRUUMM Village programming is open to all Unitarian Universalists of Color
where you will have the opportunity to grow in faith and community. From the Annual Meeting to Worships, Open Mic night to an Elders Circle, Drop-in space to BIPOC Caususing we are looking forward to the Village and all that it can be for those that attend.
We are still collecting videos of poetry, music, readings, cooking, yoga, mindfulness practices, what you’d like to share of yourself with the Community, we ask that the video be no more than 20 minutes long to be placed in the Vimeo Showcase for the Village. Contact me at the email below so you can be directed to the upload folder.
If you’d like to help are familiar with Zoom, we have openings in the Vesper worship, Summer Solstice Service, open mic night, and caucuses. We appreciate the capacity and assistance.

3:00 PM-4:00 PM  CT DRUUMM Village Live Q & A

7:00 PM-8:30 PM CT BIPOC Solstice Sacred Space
In understanding the interconnectedness of all things, we recognize that the cosmos– the sun, moon, stars, and other planets– affect us and connect us in undeniable ways. Items needed for you to participate in Solstice will be:
1. What occupied lands are you on; https://native-land.ca/
2. A candle, a bowl of water, a small dish of salt, and some sage or incense.
3. A piece of cloth or scarf (for swaddling)
4. Paper and a writing implement
5. A doll or stuffed animal, something that resembles in your mind a baby.
==
BEFORE the Ritual on a few separate pieces of paper (they can be small) please write:
“I care for my spirit, I care for my mind, I care for my heart, I care for my body”
“I promise to care for all of these aspects of my being and ask that clear signs be provided immediately when the balance within them and between them is disturbed.”
“I promise to care for myself until I am strong enough, stable enough, and balanced enough to care for others.”
and finally:
“I promise to care for others in the following ways
In my immediate circle: (fill in)
In my community:(fill in)
In my nation: (fill in)
and,
In my world: (fill in)

8:00 AM-9:30 AM CT: DRUUMM Opening Ceremony

2:30 PM-4:00 PM CT DRUUMM Village Networking & BIPOC Caucusing

Black, Indigenous & People of Color will share space in celebration of People of Color’s identities, the positive gifts of family, ancestry, ethnicity, legacy, pain, loss, and history.  We shall start off as a large group and breakout into identity caucus space as capacity allows. Meet us in DRUUMM Village!

Objective: To create a safe and brave space where people can express their fears, pain, and hopes without bystanders, so when they re-enter mixed identity spaces it will be with greater self-awareness, less self-judgment, and stronger confidence.

7:00 PM-8:30 PM CT OPEN MIC NIGHT
This Open Mic Night is dedicated to those who identify as Black, Indigenous, or as people of color (BIPOC). This evening is a collective that seeks to uplift and center voices from the BIPOC community. Although open mics are traditionally a poetry scene, we are committed to opening the mic to all forms of art that racialized folks are producing. If your art is poetry, music, writing, oral traditions, or if you want to plug art you’re creating we welcome you.
No registration needed, simply click the title to join.
