DRUUMM relies on grassroots financial support to support our ministry in the world, positively transforming the lives of BIPOC UUs and helping build beloved communities. Your donation supports our community building, cultivating faith formation, and engaging in institutional change work including DRUUMM’s:

  • Chaplain Team of Ministers of Color who volunteer their time and the costs of pastoral letters, memorial flowers, and tokens of gratitude.
  • In-person regional gatherings that connect new BIPOC UUs into our community of worship and care.
  • Digital ministry that includes regular virtual workshops and events.
  • Elder Spiritual Odyssey that records the stories of longtime BIPOC leaders in our faith and shares them publicly.

Institutional Support

DRUUMM hosts a Public Worship each year featuring music and preaching from our BIPOC UU community. We invite congregations and UU organizations to be co-sponsors by making a direct financial contribution or pledging to share an upcoming offering with DRUUMM. Co-sponsors are recognized in our program and through our communications. This year’s Public Worship will feature preacher Rev. Katie Romano Griffin and musical artist Amanda Thomas to be held on May 11th, 2023. Learn more about co-sponsoring here.

DRUUMM, Diverse & Revolutionary Unitarian Universalist Multicultural Ministries, is the oldest and largest Black, Indigenous, and People of Color-led organization in our faith. Undeniably, there is a growing threat that is trying to eliminate diverse voices, and it is getting louder around the world. We need communities such as DRUUMM to thrive, to provide welcoming, healing, and sacred spaces that will honor, encourage, and strengthen the lives and communities of care. To resist hate and side with love.

When you give to DRUUMM, you are investing in the fabric of our faith, in the development of leadership, and in the future of a multicultural, multiethnic, multigenerational Unitarian Universalism that we can believe in. Your donation says yes to living in a world that thrives from our diverse voices and supports an organization that brings authenticity and humanity into our spiritual and religious life. Your giving builds the world we dream about and realizes your values in the larger world.

Give what you can – with wild abandon. Thank you for your support and your generosity.
